Planning and Zoning Meeting <br />July 8, 2003 <br />Page 6 <br />Motion was made to deny was made by Louis Yates, seconded by Carl <br />Lucas. Motion carried by a vote of 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />8. Public Hearing to consider the petition of Bill Gant for a change in <br />zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Multiple - <br />Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF -1), Lots 1 & IA, City Block 264, <br />being the 1000 Block of 201h NE. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />There was no one present to speak in favor of the petition. <br />Steve Methven provided a letter in opposition to the petition. <br />Jim Montgomery, 1135 20th NE, presented a petition with names of <br />residents who opposed the petition stating that the zoning should <br />remain as it is, Single Family. <br />Benny Turner, 1970 Harrison, spoke in opposition to the Multi - Family <br />petition. <br />There was no further opposition, the public hearing was declared <br />closed. <br />9. Consideration of and action on the petition of Bill Gant for a change in <br />zoning from a One - Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) to a Multiple - <br />Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF -1), Lots 1 & IA, City Block 264, <br />being the 1000 Block of 20t1i NE. <br />Motion was made to deny by Russell McCain, seconded by Carl Lucas. <br />Motion carried by a vote of 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
