Planning and Zoning Meeting <br />July 8, 2003 <br />Page 7 <br />10. Public Hearing to consider the site plan approval requested by Norment <br />and Landers being number 790 N. Collegiate. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Jon Landers, 3635 Darnell, owner of the property spoke in favor of the <br />petition stating that he would like to build a building that would fit in <br />between Commercial and residential with a strong residential <br />appearance of brick all the way around, no gable, hip roof all the way <br />around, composition roof. Mr. Landers would rent the building out as <br />a long term lease to Norment and Landers Insurance. <br />Mr. Methven stated this property was rezoned last month as Planned <br />Development. Mr. Methven stated that the lady next door called last <br />month in opposition and still opposes the petition. <br />There was no opposition, the public hearing was declared closed. <br />11. Consideration of and action on the site plan approval requested by <br />Norment and Landers, being number 790 N. Collegiate. <br />Motion was made to approve by Bobby Myers, seconded by Cleveland <br />Thomas. Motion carried by a vote of 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />12. Consideration of and action on the Final Plat, River Oaks Subdivision, <br />being the 3000 Block of Aikin Drive. <br />Motion was made to approve subject to the City Engineer's Memo, <br />dated July 3, 2003, by Bobby Myers, seconded by Louis Yates. Motion <br />carried by a vote of 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Meeting adjourned at 7:00. <br />
