Planning and Zoning Minutes <br />August 1, 2005 <br />Page 3 <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Motion was made by Bobby Myers, seconded by Benny Plata for <br />Russell McCain to be excused. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and <br />0 nays. <br />Angela Corrigan, licensed professional counselor, 6475 Lamar Road, <br />spoke in favor of the petition stating that her home has a driveway in <br />the front and back. There is room for vehicles to get in and out - -a <br />maximum of three vehicles at a time. There is no group counseling <br />and no violent clients. She has driveway access from.both streets. <br />Ms. Corrigan has a mother -in -law suite that she plans to use, also, she <br />will be residing-at this location-.-- - <br />Lisa Wright mentioned two letters in opposition that were in the <br />packet distributed to the board members. The residents were not <br />specifically opposed to the type of business going in but were <br />concerned with what might move into the location if Ms. Corrigan <br />ever decided to sell the house. <br />There was no further opposition, the public hearing was declared <br />closed. <br />6. Consideration of and action on the petition of Angela Corrigan for a <br />change in zoning from a One- Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF -2) <br />to a Neighborhood Service District (NS) on Lot 2, Block A of the <br />Westwood Addition, being number 3420 W. Houston Street. <br />Motion was made to approved by Bobby Myers, seconded by Carl <br />Lucas. Motion carried by a vote of 5 ayes and 1 nay. <br />Motion was made by Marshall Kent, seconded by Benny Plata for <br />Russell McCain to return to the meeting. Motion carried by a vote of <br />6 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
