ITEMS 3A AND 4 WERE COMBINED. <br />Motion was made by Richard Hunt, seconded by Bill Harris to recuse Reeves Hayter. <br />Motion carried 5 -0. <br />3. Public hearing to provide an opportunity to present comments and written evidence and <br />consideration of and action on recommending to the City Council the adoption ofproposed <br />amendments to the Future Land Use Plan Map as follows: <br />A. That the, future land use recommended for the property located on a 6.5 acre tract <br />being apart of the Enoch Crow Survey, Abstract No. 208, being located in the 4500 <br />Block of Lamar Avenue, be changed from Low Density Residential to High Density <br />Residential. <br />4. Public hearing to consider the petition of Paul Holden for a change in zoning from an <br />Agricultural District (A) to a Planned Development District (PD -b) Housing Development <br />or Community Unit Development on a 65 acre tract being a part of the Enoch Crow <br />Survey, Abstract No. 208, located in the 4500 block of Lamar Avenue. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. The following individuals spoke in favor of the petition: <br />Paul Holden, Wilhoit Properties, Inc. spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. Holden <br />presented an aerial photo of the property. Mr. Holden stated there will be a <br />bamboo screening around the property, as well as, a privacy fence along the east <br />side of the property. He further stated this is not a government housing project, <br />they will accept Housing Tax Credits/ <br />Charles Waldron, Attorney for Paul Holden, spoke in favor of the petition. <br />A. W. Clem, Attorney for the Chambliss Family, spoke in favor of the petition. <br />B. The following individuals spoke in opposition of the petition: <br />Mary Wilson, 4245 Sunrise Dr., spoke in opposition to the petition. <br />Leslie Collard, 4215 Sunrise Dr., spoke in opposition to the petition. People <br />cutting through from apartments to Wal -Mart. <br />James Chennault, 4220 Sunrise Dr., spoke in opposition to the petition. <br />James Brown, 4530 Thomas Dr., spoke in opposition to the petition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />
