MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />COX FIELD AIRPORT TERMINAL <br />MEETING ROOM <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />THURSDAY, JANUARY 19, 2006 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Vic <br />Ressler, Jr. at 5:30 p.m. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Bill Boothe <br />Glen Chapman <br />Don Morrell <br />Andrew Fasken <br />Jack Ashmore <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Harry Michaelwicz <br />C. Also present was Lisa Wright, Airport Director; Jerry Richey, Airport <br />Manager; Billy Copeland; and Les Chapman. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. No changes were made to the <br />minutes of October 20, 2005, and they were approved as submitted. <br />3. Receipt from the fly -in and air show subcommittees. Glen Chapman stated <br />that they are aiming for the fly -in for late March. Billy Copeland said that there <br />are Issues that need to be addressed such as parking, security, what vendors <br />will be there, etc. Lisa Wright said that the City has contacts if the Board <br />wanted to have antique cars or antique tractors in addition to the fly -in. Billy <br />Copeland said the more that you have for people to look at, the better you will <br />do. Also, food will be needed for people flying in. Maybe Gary Vest could <br />make up some Welcome Paris packets for distribution to the people flying in. <br />Billy Copeland said that the fly -in can be advertised on funplacestofly.com, <br />the Antique Newsletter, and some local EA Chapters Newsletter. Jack <br />Ashmore suggested give free airplane rides. The Board will also look into <br />getting the CAF. The tentative date set is April 1. Lisa Wright said she would <br />contact Gary Vest for financial assistance, or alternatively, see if she could get <br />some sponsors to help pay for trophies, etc. A subcommittee was appointed <br />consisting of Glen Chapman, Jack Ashmore, Billy Copeland, and Bill Boothe. <br />
