HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MEETING <br />100 GEORGE WRIGHT HOMES <br />MINUTES OF December 20, 2016 <br />Present at the Meeting: <br />TK Haynes — Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners <br />Brenda Cherry — Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners <br />Dewayne Dangerfield — Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners <br />Cassandra Hearn — Commissioner of the Board of Commissioners <br />Sally Ruthart — Executive Director <br />Patricia Pridemore — Program Manager/PHA <br />Kim Snow - Inspector <br />1. Meeting Called to order at 12:28 pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 by Vice <br />Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, TK Haynes. <br />2. Having four Board Members present, a quorum, Mr. Haynes thanked and welcomed <br />everyone to the meeting. <br />3. Citizens' Forum Opened — No one chose to speak; the Citizens' Forum was closed. <br />4. Minutes from the November 15, 2016 — Minutes were approved with a motion made by <br />Ms. Cherry and seconded by Dewayne Dangerfield. Passed 4 -0. <br />5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: <br />A. 2010 Mold Report from 413 George Wright Homes — Ms. Cherry stated that <br />on the old report it was mentioned that the window installment was a problem and <br />there was no mention of windows in the new report. Ms. Cherry stated that her <br />concern was that this mold problem would not go away by itself and to make sure <br />that it was taken care of. Ms. Ruthart explained that after reading the report that <br />she talked to the Maintenance Supervisor and the Contractor and assured the <br />Board that all of this will be taken care of with the complete gutting of this <br />apartment. Ms. Ruthart also explained that this old report said there was a <br />problem with "the replacement windows ". Ms. Cherry was concerned that if the <br />windows are not replaced and the mold reappears what would happen then. Ms. <br />Ruthart read from the report that it stated the only way to find all fungal growth is <br />to demolish the building. Mr. Haynes noted that the weather we are having right <br />now creates moisture on windows. Ms. Ruthart stated that the PHA is going to do <br />all it can to solve this problem. Ms. Ruthart stated if that happened again, the <br />PHA would look into replacing the windows. The PHA will have 413 George <br />Wright retested after the remodel. <br />B. Cassandra Hearn to discuss after school program — Ms. Hearn was concerned <br />as to why the PHA is not doing an after school program. Ms. Ruthart explained <br />
