out flyers to all Board Members and asked them to post them in various locations if they <br />had the opportunity looking for 2 and 3 bedroom applicants. <br />Financial Report — Mrs. Ruthart reviewed checking accounts - Public Housing with <br />$645K and Section 8 with $406K as of June 30, 2015; and the Management account has <br />$544.54 which is PHA money not HUD monies (vending machines, etc.). <br />REAC Inspection — Is scheduled for August 10th, 2015. Maintenance men are steadily <br />working on grounds and units to correct all possible problems. <br />5 Year Plan has been approved by HUD. <br />New Security system is in place with 24 cameras at the George Wright Homes property. <br />LD Ruthart will be running and in charge of the system. Ms. Cherry asked if there are <br />cameras at the Booker T Washington Homes location and Mrs. Ruthart answered not yet, <br />but hopefully soon. <br />PHA has gone out for a painting contract to paint exterior of all Jackson Court Units (25). <br />The bid opening is on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. <br />TML coverage agreement is for employee's healthcare that will be effective October 1, <br />2015 which the Chairman has to sign. Requires no board approval just signature. <br />Memorandum of Understanding between the PHA and Resident Council — Annually $25 <br />per unit is allocated for resident services. Calculated based on occupied units at the time <br />of the budget (PHA had 3 vacancies) and the Resident Council receives $10 per occupied <br />unit to fund the Resident Council expenditures. Ms. Cherry asked who the resident <br />council is? Kelly Crawford explained the Resident Council Members as Mary Ruth <br />Hughes — President, Dewayne Dangerfield — Vice President, Shirley Davis, and Vickie <br />Patterson, and Kelly Crawford is the Social Service Coordinator who coordinates with <br />the council for services for the tenants. Ms. Hearn asked if all the council members reside <br />in Public Housing. Mrs. Crawford explained that all members are tenants of the PHA. <br />Mr. Gary Savage presented the Resident Council with a check for $2312.00 for the FYE <br />2016. Mr. Savage thanked Mr. Dangerfield for all the work the Resident Council does <br />and presented him the check. <br />Nominations for Chairman and Vice Chairman were opened to the Board. Dewayne <br />Dangerfield made a nomination for Gary Savage as Chairman which was seconded by <br />Ms. Cherry and passed 4 -0. Mr. Dangerfield nominated Brenda Cherry for Vice <br />Chairman which was seconded by Cassandra Hearn and passed 4 -0. <br />Resolution 2015 -001 Disposition of old appliances - Motion to accept made by Gary <br />Savage and seconded by Cassandra Hearn which passed 4 -0 <br />Resolution 2015 -002 Changes to Schedule of Tenant Charges — Motion to accept made <br />by Dewayne Dangerfield and seconded by Brenda Cherry which <br />passed 4 -0 <br />14 <br />
