Giberson stated that he is requesting a zoning change to construct a residential <br />home on the lot for his family. Mr. Giberson stated he hopes the commission will <br />approve his request for a change in zoning. <br />B. No one spoke in opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Chad Lindsey, seconded by Robert Spain to approve the petition. <br />Motion carried 6 -0. <br />6 Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of the City of Paris, <br />Texas, to update Zoning Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Texas, to include the <br />definition of "automobile detailing shop" and allow said use to be permitted in the <br />Commercial (C) and the Light Industrial (LI) Zoning Districts, within said Zoning <br />Ordinance No. 1710. <br />Public hearing was declared open. <br />A. One individual spoke in favor. <br />Ben Faber, 508 South Church Street Paris, Texas spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. <br />Faber stated that he owns the property at 98 Pine Bluff Street that is zoned Central <br />Area District (CA). Mr. Faber stated he has an individual that wants to rent his <br />property to run an automobile detailing shop. Mr. Faber further stated he hopes the <br />commission will allow automobile detailing shops in the Central Area District <br />(CA). <br />B. No one spoke in opposition. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Holland Harper, seconded by John Lee to approve the petition to <br />allow automobile detailing shop in Commercial District (C) and Light Industrial District <br />(LI) areas. Motion carried 6 -0. Holland Harper requested the Planning Manager to bring <br />this item back next month to allow automobile detailing shop in the Central Area District <br />(CA). <br />7. Consideration of and action on the Preliminary Plat of Lot 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33 & 34, <br />Block A, Stone Ridge Phase 8, located in the 4600 Block of Boulder Lane. <br />Carla Easton reviewed the preliminary plat with commissioners. Motion was made by <br />Jerry Akers, seconded by John Lee to approve the preliminary plat with recommendations. <br />Motion carried 6 -0. <br />
