Public hearing was declared closed. Motion was made by Holland Harper, seconded by Robert Spain to deny the petition. Motion failed 2 -5. Motion was made by Mike Folmar, seconded by Chad Lindsey to approve the petition with a 5 year limit. Motion carried 5 -2, with Holland Harper and Robert Spain in opposition. 4. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of Dale Freeman on behalf of Abraham Enns for a change in zoning from a Commercial District (C) to a Light Industrial District (LI), on City Block 324, Lot 19, being located at 2925 FM 79. Public hearing was declared open. A. Two individuals spoke in favor. Gary Waite, 104 Lamar Avenue, Paris, Texas spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. Waite stated that his client Dale Freeman is in the process of purchasing the property located at 2925 FM 79. Mr. Waite stated that Mr. Freeman wants to change the zoning at this property to open a Distillery. Mr. Waite further stated they have meet with the City several times to find out what they need to do to get open. Robert Giberson, 1280 CR 32220 Sumner, Texas spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. Giberson stated that he is for this development. B. No one spoke in opposition. Public hearing was declared closed.
