Supported by the City of Paris,
this public/private partnership will provide additional community gathering
facilities, it will provide a nucleus for expanded services for senior citizens
and it will improve a section of downtown Paris that has become unsightly
and dangerous.

In its heyday, the Red Ball Union Bus Station, was a central part of a complex
transportation system including train, bus, trolley and cab operations. The
proposed renovations will allow a piece of Paris' history to come alive and to
be re-lived in perpetuity. And, it will provide services, including
transportation, to the growing numbers of senior citizens in Lamar County.

I commend CHRISTUS St. Joseph's Health System and the City of Paris for
working together for the betterment of their community. I hope that you too,
will recognize the unique value of this proposal.

Sincerely,

~~d/~

Bobby R. Walters
President

BRW:sw
