MINUTES <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 2017 <br />12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />The Board of'Adiustment meeting was called to order by David Hamilton, Chairman at <br />12:00 p. m. <br />A. The following members were present: David Hamilton, Louise Hagood, Jerry <br />Haning, Marilyn Smith and Mihir "Mark" Pankaj (Alternate Board Member) <br />B. The following members were absent: Deanna Manning and Chris Fitzgerald <br />(Alternate Board Member) <br />C. Also present was Carla Easton, City Engineer; Ashley Fendley, City Staff, <br />Stephanie Harris, City Attorney; Sue Lancaster, City Council; A.J. Hashmi, City <br />Council and concerned citizens. <br />Marilyn Smith arrived at 12:02pm. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (February 28, 2017) <br />Motion was made by Louise Hagood, seconded by Jerry Haning to approve minutes for the <br />February 28, 2017 meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. <br />3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Arjumand Hashmi on <br />Lots 4 & 4A, City Block 64B, being located at 605 Pine Bluff Street. <br />A. Section 11.5 -3 (b) 0)(4) of the Fence Ordinance <br />(b) Fence heights: <br />(1) Front yard fence requirements. <br />a. No fence shall be permitted in the front yard with the following exceptions: <br />i. On lots zoned historic overlay district (HD) and in accordance with the <br />design standards adopted by the historic preservation commission. <br />ii. On lots in excess of two (2) acres in size which are used for <br />single-family residential purposes. <br />iii. On lots which are zoned and used for LI or HI purposes. <br />The applicant is proposing to install a front yard fence at 605 Pine Bluff Street this <br />property is not located in the historic overlay district, the lot does not exceed two (2) <br />acres and is not zoned for industrial purposes. The applicant is requesting a variance to <br />
