MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS CONFERENCE ROOM PARIS, TEXAS TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 2017 12:00 O'CLOCK P.M. The Board of'Adiustment meeting was called to order by David Hamilton, Chairman at 12:00 p. m. A. The following members were present: David Hamilton, Louise Hagood, Jerry Haning, Marilyn Smith and Mihir "Mark" Pankaj (Alternate Board Member) B. The following members were absent: Deanna Manning and Chris Fitzgerald (Alternate Board Member) C. Also present was Carla Easton, City Engineer; Ashley Fendley, City Staff, Stephanie Harris, City Attorney; Sue Lancaster, City Council; A.J. Hashmi, City Council and concerned citizens. Marilyn Smith arrived at 12:02pm. 2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. (February 28, 2017) Motion was made by Louise Hagood, seconded by Jerry Haning to approve minutes for the February 28, 2017 meeting. Motion carried 5 -0. 3. Public hearing and consideration of and action on the petition of Arjumand Hashmi on Lots 4 & 4A, City Block 64B, being located at 605 Pine Bluff Street. A. Section 11.5 -3 (b) 0)(4) of the Fence Ordinance (b) Fence heights: (1) Front yard fence requirements. a. No fence shall be permitted in the front yard with the following exceptions: i. On lots zoned historic overlay district (HD) and in accordance with the design standards adopted by the historic preservation commission. ii. On lots in excess of two (2) acres in size which are used for single-family residential purposes. iii. On lots which are zoned and used for LI or HI purposes. The applicant is proposing to install a front yard fence at 605 Pine Bluff Street this property is not located in the historic overlay district, the lot does not exceed two (2) acres and is not zoned for industrial purposes.
