E. 951 W. Sherman, City Block 133, Lot 2 <br />Owner: Manuel Darnell, Sr., 355 13th SW, Paris TX 75460 <br />Robert Talley stated this is the property directly beside Mr. Darnell's house. Mr. <br />Talley described more trailers full of junk and rubbish, high grass and weeds <br />around trailers and rubbish. Mr. Talley stated that it's not organized or sorted, <br />and described tires, lumber, metal pipes, concrete and buckets were also scattered <br />on the property. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare junk and rubbish a nuisance, <br />remove within 30 days, or city has right to do so. <br />Motion was made by Ken Kohls, seconded by Johnny Norris to extend 90 <br />days to owner to clean up property, or back to BSC. Motion carried. 5 -2 <br />Charles Richards and Joseph Scott voted nay stating they felt Mr. Darnell <br />had been given ample time to clean up this property. <br />F. 961 W. Sherman; City Block 33, Lot 1 <br />Owner: Manuel Darnell, Sr., 355 13th SW, Paris TX 75460 <br />Robert Talley stated this is Mr. Darnell's residence. Mr. Talley described <br />rubbish, metal, pipes, lumber, and junk scattered on the property. Mr. Talley <br />stated that the lumber appears to be rotted and unusable. Mr. Talley also showed <br />photographs where the middle of the house is collapsed. Mr. Talley discussed <br />the high grass and weeds growing around the rubbish and junk in yard. Mr. <br />Talley also stated the lean -to in the back yard has collapsed. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare junk and rubbish a nuisance, <br />remove within 30 days, or city has right to do so. <br />The commission discussed the property. <br />Motion was made by Ken Kohls, seconded by Johnny Norris to extend 90 <br />days to owner to clean up property, or back to BSC. Motion carried. 5 -2 <br />Charles Richards and Joseph Scott voted nay stating they felt Mr. Darnell <br />had been given ample time to clean up this property. <br />4. Code Enforcement update. <br />1 structure demolished by contractor. <br />Discussed moving up properties as priorities; city now has a track hoe and have <br />demolished 2 properties with it. <br />5. Future agenda items. <br />Report on repair orders. <br />
