"Exceptions: <br />"1. A permit is not required for authorized employees of the City of <br />Paris to use or operate fire hydrants or valves in performance of <br />their duties. <br />"2. A fire permit is not required for a 'meter on a fire hydrant' that <br />is installed in accordance with a building arrangement through <br />the City of Paris Water Billing Department and /or the Lamar <br />County Water Supply District. The Fire Code Official shall be <br />notified of all meters installed on fire hydrants." <br />Section 105.6.24, Hot work operations, shall be amended to read as follows: <br />"105.6.24 Hot work operations. An operational permit is required for <br />hot work during public exhibitions and demonstrations." <br />Section 105.6.32, Open burning, shall be amended to read as follows: <br />"105.6.32 Open burning. An operational permit is required to kindle <br />or maintain any fire defined as 'open burning' in the city limits of the City of <br />Paris, Texas, with the exception of a "Training Fire" as defined by Section <br />302.1. <br />"1. Agricultural Burn Permits shall be issued by the Fire Code <br />Official for property that is a minimum of ten acres in size and is zoned <br />agricultural by the City of Paris. An agricultural burn permit will be valid for <br />one (1) full year, and there shall be no fee charged for its issuance. Only brush, <br />limbs, trees and other natural vegetation may be burned at the discretion of <br />the Fire Code Official as long as such material is generated only from that <br />property on which it is to be burned. <br />"2. Standard Burn Permits shall be issued by the Fire Code Official <br />for disposal and recreational fires. Only brush, limbs, trees and clean, <br />untreated lumber may be burned." <br />Section 105.7, Required construction permits, shall be amended by deleting <br />sections 105.7.2, 105.7.3, 105.7.4, 105.7.5, 105.7.10, 105.7.11, and 105.7.18, and by <br />adding Sec. 105.7.19 as follows: <br />"105.7.19 Electronic access control systems. Construction permits <br />are required for the installation or modification of an electronic access <br />control system, as specified in Chapter 10. A separate construction permit is <br />required for the installation or modification of a fire alarm system that may <br />be connected to the access control system.
