accordance with this code is not considered a modification and does not <br />require a permit." <br />Section 109.3.3, Prosecution of violations, shall be amended to read as follows: <br />"109.3.3 Prosecution of violations. If the notice of violation is not <br />complied with promptly, the fire code official, his designee, any City of Paris <br />Code Inspector or City of Paris Police Officer is authorized to request the <br />legal counsel of the jurisdiction to institute the appropriate legal proceedings <br />at law and at equity to restrain, correct or abate such violation or to require <br />removal or termination of the unlawful occupancy of a structure in violation <br />of the provisions of this code or of the order or direction made pursuant <br />hereto including but not limited to criminal prosecution as set forth in <br />Section 109.4 herein." <br />Section 109.4, Violation penalties, is amended to read as follows: <br />"109.4 Violation penalties. Any person, firm, partnership, <br />corporation or association who shall violate a provision of this code or shall <br />fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who shall erect, install, <br />alter, repair or do work in violation of the approved construction documents <br />or directive of the Fire Code Official, or of a permit or certificate used under <br />provisions of this code, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon <br />conviction in the Municipal Court, shall be subject to a fine not to exceed <br />TWO THOUSAND AND No /loos ($2,000.00) DOLLARS for each offense, and <br />each and every day such violation continues shall be deemed to constitute a <br />separate and distinct violation. Said violations are strict liability offenses. <br />Section 111.4, Failure to comply, shall be amended to read as follows: <br />"111.4 Failure to comply. Any person, who shall continue any work <br />after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as that <br />person is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition, shall <br />be liable for a fine not to exceed TWO THOUSAND AND No /loos ($2,000.00) <br />DOLLARS for each offense, and each and every day such violation continues <br />shall be deemed to constitute a separate and distinct violation. Said <br />violations are strict liability offenses. <br />Sec 202, General Definitions, is amended to amend or add the following <br />definitions to read as follows: <br />"ADDRESSABLE FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM. Any system capable of <br />providing identification of each individual alarm- initiating device.
