Ms. <br />Battle stated she owned the property between Mr. Thompson and this vacant lot. <br />Ms. Battle further stated she hopes the commission will deny this request. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by James O'Brian, seconded by Rick Hundley to deny the petition. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />4. Consideration of and action on the Final Plat of Lot 1, Block A, Christian Fellowship <br />Church Addition, located in the 3300 to 3400 Block of North Main. <br />Carla Easton reviewed the final plat with commissioners. Motion was made by Keith <br />Flowers, seconded by James O'Bryan to approve the final plat with recommendations. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />S. Consideration of and action on the Amended Final Plat Lot 1, Block A, AI Stor-N-Go <br />Addition CB 323, located at 2420 FM 79. <br />Carla Easton reviewed the final plat with commissioners. Motion was made by Rick <br />Hundley, seconded by Keith Flowers to approve the final plat. Motion carried 5-0. <br />6. Discussion Regarding The Potential Restriction of Parking Recreational Vehicles <br />(Including Other "Special Vehicles ", As Defined In The Code Of Ordinances, Ch. 22) of <br />Certain Dimensions Within Residential Areas. <br />Alan Efrussy, Planning Manager stated the history of the most recent discussion from the <br />last Planning and Zoning Commission meeting and City Council meeting. Recently, <br />Mayor Clifford inquired of staff as to how we can address the issue of larger RV's as <br />stored/parked in Paris residential neighborhoods. As a response to these inquiries, the <br />City staff suggested several draft amendments to Chapter 22: "Manufactured Homes and <br />Manufactured Home Parks" within the Paris Code of Ordinances, which includes <br />regulations for recreational and other special vehicles. These are enclosed as Exhibit A and <br />are shown in red font. To increase citizens' awareness of these issues, in conjunction with <br />obtaining citizen and city official input, staff recommended that this topic first be a <br />discussion item before both the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council. <br />For final approval, any ordinance changes would have to be heard before the commission <br />and council. Staff is also recommending that if approved, the ordinance adopting said <br />requirements would require that the subject special vehicles would not have to be removed <br />until after 180 days from ordinance adoption. <br />Discussion at the August 7, 2017 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.
