Citizens' Forum.
Brenda Cherry, 1442 Fitzhugh - she said she opposed the flea market planned in her
neighborhood and knew that it had already been voted on. She said she did not think citizens
that live in the area were given a chance to speak. She said it was going to be located next to a
church which was very disrespectful, and there were traffic issues. She referenced the flea
market that was previously on the loop and said confederate flags were sold there, and they did
not want that in their neighborhood because it was offensive. Ms. Cherry said the streets weren't
fixed in their part of town; the trees were not cut back and questioned why nothing was done to
upgrade their community. She said she hope they reconsider it to hear the citizens that live in the
area.
