MINUTES AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD MEETING TUESDAY, APRIL 24, 1990 COX FIELD TERMINAL PARIS, TEXAS 1. The scheduled meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by Chairperson Mrs. Greta Greb. The following members were present: Greta Greb, Chairperson J.B. Richey Jim Bell J.W. Harrison Victor Abeles J.W. Ashmore Absent: Cliff Lee Also in attendance: Dick Boots and Jim Collier. 2. The minutes of the previous meeting (January 30, 1990) were read and approved. 3. Dick Boots reported that the first report from the Consultants concerning the Master Plan will be ready in June, 1990. It is hoped the entire Master Plan will be completed in October, 1990. 4. The Texas Department of Aviation has scheduled a meeting for May 23, 1990, at 10:00 o'clock A.M. in the City Hall Council Room to receive input from sponsors, users, and interested parties concerning facility development at Cox Field. Dick Boots will notify all members by mail with information concerning the meeting. 5. The Texas Airport Operators Conference was held in Austin on April 18- 19 -20, 1990. Greta Greb, Jim Collier and Dick Boots attended from Paris. Each member present received a copy of the Policies and Standards Manual from the Texas Department of Aviation. 6. Termination of I.F.R. flights at Cox Field: Mrs. Greb reported that the only way for Cox Field to receive credit for I.F.R. operations is to have pilots cancel flight plans by phone after landing. It was recommended that a letter be sent to all users requesting that the proper procedure be used. It was also recommended that a sign be placed in the lobby stating that proper documentation is necessary by pilots. 7. Budget proposals for fiscal year 1990 -91, were presented by Dick Boots. Two of the capital outlay projects will be an asphalt overlay of the parking lot and entrance drive and the 10% down payment for the construction of six enclosed hangers.
