MINUTES AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD MEETING TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1990 COX FIELD TERMINAL PARIS, TEXAS 1. The scheduled meeting was called to order at 6:00 P.M. by Chairperson Greta Greb. The following members were present: Greta Greb - Chairperson J.B. Richey Jim Bell Tony Daigle Victor Abeles ABSENT: J.W. Harrison J.W. Ashmore Also in Attendance: Dick Boots - Jim Collier 2. The minutes of the previous meeting (April 24, 1990) were read and approved. 3. New Board Member was welcomed. 4. A report concerning the loan from the Texas Department of Aviation for hanger construction was given by Dick Boots. The TDA has approved a loan for the City of Paris for hanger construction. The total cost of the project is approximately $135,000. The City has budgeted $13,500 for their down payment. The remaining 90% will be paid back to the TDA over a 20 year period. The hanger will have spaces for seven airplanes. Specifications will be prepared during October & November with the project going out for bid in December. All taxiways leading to the new hanger will be of concrete construction. 5. The adopted budget for 1990 -91, was presented. The operating budget stayed basically the same as the past year. Capital Outlay Projects included in the new budget are an asphalt overlay for the parking area and entrance road and $13,500- for the down payment on the hanger construction loan. 6. A report was given by Dick Boots concerning the terminal renovation funds. The "oil overcharge funds" for assisting Airports in completing energy saving projects will be administered by the Governor's Office rather than the TDA. It is still uncertain as to whether these funds will become available. Preliminary drawings have been prepared by Bucker, Willis & Ratliff for both the terminal renovation and a 27' X 46' addition. When the funds do become available, we will be ready to move as we have plans ready for the renovation.
