7. Report was given by Dick Boots concerning the annual certification
inspection by the FAA. The inspection revealed that the airport is
being operating in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulation Part
139. Several recommendations were made by the inspector. Taxiway
designation signs should be restructured for the crosswind
runways. This signage will be done during the next fiscal year and
will be compatible with the Signage on RW 17/35. The other area of
concern is ponding of water on several areas of the taxiways and
runways. The City of Paris has in it's five year plan a project to
eliminate the ponding by excavating along the sides of the runways
and taxiways.
8. A meeting will be held in mid - October with Bucker, Willis & Ratliff
to discuss alternatives for the airport master plan. Members will
be notified one week in advance of the meeting. Members were asked
to review the preliminary report from the consultants prior to the
October meeting. Input from Board members is very important and
all members should be in attendance.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:40 P.M.
Dick Boots
Recorder
