7. A handout was given to each member concerning the proposed
1994 -95 budget for Cox Field Airport.
8. Mr. Clifford discussed the possibility of attaching doors on
the west side of the open T- Hangers. If this were done, the
rental would be increased to $100. for each hanger. Money to
pay for this project would possibly come from bond funds. Mr.
Clifford said that this project was high on the priority list.
Mr. Ordelhide requested that the rental for the hangers be
kept at a minimum.
9. Boots said that funding through the Texas Department of
Transportation was not available for constructing a building
to house the airport fire truck. The present building that is
used to house this vehicle will be torn down when the new
conventional hanger of Larry Townes will be built. Presently,
the fire truck building is an old sheet metal structure. It
was explained to the City Manager that when the new hanger was
built, a new structure would have to be built to house the
fire truck.
10. Boots said that after checking with Tx DOT, he found that no
low interest loans were available for T- Hanger construction.
The Board requested that Boots attempt to find additional
grant money for Airport Improvement Projects.
11. Two new proposed conventional hangers are on the drawing Board
for Cox Field.
12. New Business: Boots discussed the Tx DOT Airport Improvement
Project for fiscal year 1995 -96.
