MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY, AUGUST 26, 1980 <br />7:15 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />CITY HALL <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Airport Advisory Board met in regular session at City Hall, Tuesday, <br />August 26, 1980 at 7:15 P.M. with the following board members present: <br />1. Rick Rex -- Chairman <br />2. James Moseley <br />3. Allie O'Brien <br />Others present were: <br />1. Jim Collier -- Airport Manager <br />2. Johnny Bell -- President PAAC <br />3. Don Whitaker <br />4. Joann Ondrovik -- Secretary <br />5. Tom Mallison <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Rex and the minutes were app- <br />roved as mailed to members. <br />Old Business: <br />1. Review of FAA letter regarding hay bales on approach runway. <br />Mr. Collier reported that the problem of the hay bales has now been <br />resolved. <br />2. Discussion of disposal of three old T- Hangars. <br />The heat wave continues to delay the disposal process. <br />3. Report by Mr. Collier on his study of alternatives for jet fuel <br />storage and delivery. <br />There was a discussion of the City Council's tabling of the Airport <br />Advisory Board's last recommendation re; jet fuel storage. The Board <br />agreed to resubmit Tom Mallison's proposal with some clarification and <br />explanation because thay believe it to be the most economical and far - <br />sighted solution. <br />Dr. Joann Ondrovik moved that the Board recommend the following proposal <br />to the City Council. The motion was seconded by Allie O'Brien and carried <br />unanimously. <br />This proposal was that the Airport purchase: <br />(1) 10,000 gallon tank $7,950 <br />with installation costs @ $6,200 <br />(2) Fuel truck including meter and fuel <br />separator system @ $9,000 <br />(3) A filter separator system for the <br />storage tank, pump, and miscellaneous <br />costs @ $3,000 <br />26,150 <br />
