MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD MEETING <br />TUESDAY, AUGUST 30, 1988 <br />COX FIELD TERMINAL <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bill Boothe at 6:00 P.M. <br />The following members were present: <br />Bill Boothe, Chairman <br />J.W. Ashmore, Secretary <br />Vic Abeles <br />Joe Burress <br />Greta Greb <br />Members absent: none. <br />Also in attendance were Jim Collier, Airport Manager, Eric Clifford, <br />Mayor of Paris, and Dick Boots, Director of Community Facilities. <br />The minutes of the June 28, 1988 meeting were approved as read by a <br />unanimous vote. <br />Discussion of the Five Year Plan was postponed until a later meeting. <br />Dick Boots reported that Gifford Electric will be replacing the beacon <br />in the next two weeks. <br />Our Fire Dept. Training Office will be training FBO personnel on CFR <br />equipment and technique beginning September 7, 1988. <br />Regarding Cox Field entrance triangle, it was proposed that an <br />appropriate sign be placed in the triangle. When such a sign is <br />constructed, the Paris Garden Club has stated they would be glad to <br />landscape the area. The sign area would be constructed off the state <br />right -of -way. <br />1988 -89: The budget did not include the headwalls, parking area, and <br />architect fee. The budget has not yet been printed. <br />New Business: The culvert at Sylvan Road has been installed to allow <br />hay equipment entry at the rear of the airport. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:40 P.M. <br />
