COMMITTEE MM�ITTEE REPORT ON COX FIELD <br />Facilities are above average for commercial aviation with <br />need for greater utilization of this service. <br />2. Greatest need is for updating of airport for general aviation <br />use. <br />3. Airport management is adequate. Manager is fair, and no com- <br />plaints of discrimination or poor service have been received. <br />The manager,, who is also the Fixed Base Operator, is attempt- <br />ing to promote airport facilities. <br />4. Aircraft maintenance is not adequate. <br />a. No one available to handle all maintenance <br />demands regularly. <br />b. No space available fox shop and tools suitable <br />for the maintenance of aircraft. <br />c. No person available on Field qualified to li- <br />cense aircraft for air worthiness. (Aircraft <br />must be transported off field for certificate.) <br />d. No area avail -able for aircraft washing. <br />S. Aviation fuel 9aci.l.iti.es adequate, and prices are reasonable. <br />a. Fuel service adequate and usually prompt. <br />Service after hours available by calling <br />airport manager. <br />b. It is recommended that personnel, dispensing <br />aviation supplies, should be in uniform. <br />6. Student pilot training above average. <br />as pilot instruction available at reasonable <br />fee. It is recommended that facilities be <br />maeae available for class groom and ground <br />school instruction on the airport. <br />7.
