Mr. Collier was to have obtained leases from the A.A.E.O. but did not. Mr.
Sudduth will contact the A.A.E.O. for the lease agreements.
Mrs. Campbell circulated a copy of the Addison, Texas Airport hangar lease
agreement.
Mr. Sudduth told the Board that the lease agreement which Mr. Collier had
written and mailed to all current hangar leasees was not fair to the leasees.
The contract did not provide for equal consideration between the City and
Aircraft owners. Although they were invited to bring examples of lease
agreements none of the public attending the meeting brought copies.
Mr. Rex asked more research be done on the lease agreement and the matter will
be taken up at the next meeting.
6. Hangar Waiting List Application - Mrs. Campbell read her proposed application
for the hangar waiting list. It will be typed and presented in finished form
at the April meeting.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. New Permits - No new permits have been applied for or issued.
2. Parking - Mr. Boothe's problem with the parking in front of his business
has been solved with the placement of signs.
3. Land Leasing.- Dr. Keller has purchased a Port -a -Port hangar and wishes
to lease land to place the hangar at Cox Field.
Mr. Sudduth asked that an area be designated for portable hangars only. Mrs.
Campbell moved that the area west of the Faskin - Wintermute hangar be designated
the location for portable hangars. Mr. Sudduth seconded the motion. The motion
passed 5 -0.
Mr. Rex asked what the terms would be for the land rental.
After discussion the following terms were drawn up:
1. The rental rate for the land for the hangars be only $100.00 per year
for the first five years thru 1988 to assist in offsetting the leases
capital expenditure for the concrete slab which becomes the City of
Paris property, with the owner being granted four -five year options at
a rate not to exceed the tie -down rate established at Cox Field.
2. The concrete slab to be poured for the hangar will be paid for by the
hangar owner and will become City property upon completion. Proof of
payment for the slab must be provided to the City Manager before the
hangar is erected.
3. Each hangar owner will furnish their own utilities.
4. Taxes which may be levied on the hangar due to their portable status
will be paid for by the hangar owner.
5. The hangar remains the personal property of the person constructing
it and may be moved or sold with proper notice to the Airport Manager.
