MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY MAY 31, 1983 <br />AIRPORT TERMINAL COX FIELD <br />7:15 P.M. <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Airport Advisory Board met in regular session Tuesday, May 31, 1983 <br />at 7:15 P.M. with the following members present: <br />1. Richard Rex - Chairman <br />2. Dr. Edward Keller <br />3. Gene Sudduth <br />4. Kristina V. Campbell - Secretary <br />Also present were Jim Collier, Airport Manager, Doris Ellis, Austin Ellis, <br />Tom Kerr, Herbert Campbell, Sonja Boothe, Melissa Mahan and Roger Boxwell. <br />Chairman Rex called the meeting to order and the minutes of May 31, 1983 <br />were approved as read with corrections to typographical errors being made. <br />Financial Report - The revenue report for Cox Field, April 1983 was discussed. <br />Dr. Keller felt the Board needed to know a breakdown on the monthly rentals. <br />Mr. Collier gave the following information on monthly rentals: <br />No. of Hanaars <br />5 <br />1 <br />13 <br />6 <br />1 ( FAA) <br />1 (Aero Dust & Spray) <br />Paris Flight Center <br />Metro Airline Office <br />Cost per hangar <br />30.00 <br />50.00 <br />45.00 <br />75.00 <br />20.00 <br />300.00 <br />20.00 <br />253.00 <br />When asked if anyone was behind in their rents, Mr. Collier told the Board <br />a few people were behind as much as two months in their rents. If the rents <br />become overdue Mr. Collier writes a letter to the renter asking for payment. <br />The Board did not receive any concrete information on the procedure currently <br />used to secure overdue hangar rentals. <br />Review Recommendations to City Council - It was noted by the Board that they <br />have received copies of the Paris City Council minutes for the April 11th <br />meeting. These minutes deal with portable hangars and discussion of site <br />planning for portable hangars. Discussion of tie -down fees were also <br />mentioned in the City minutes. It was also noted that the matter of tie -down <br />fees which was considered at the April 11th City Council meeting was referred <br />to the staff for further study and therefore, no further discussion on tie - <br />down fees need to considered by the Airport Board unless requested to do so <br />by the City Council. <br />
