MINUTES AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD TUESDAY MAY 31, 1983 AIRPORT TERMINAL COX FIELD 7:15 P.M. PARIS, TEXAS The Airport Advisory Board met in regular session Tuesday, May 31, 1983 at 7:15 P.M. with the following members present: 1. Richard Rex - Chairman 2. Dr. Edward Keller 3. Gene Sudduth 4. Kristina V. Campbell - Secretary Also present were Jim Collier, Airport Manager, Doris Ellis, Austin Ellis, Tom Kerr, Herbert Campbell, Sonja Boothe, Melissa Mahan and Roger Boxwell. Chairman Rex called the meeting to order and the minutes of May 31, 1983 were approved as read with corrections to typographical errors being made. Financial Report - The revenue report for Cox Field, April 1983 was discussed. Dr. Keller felt the Board needed to know a breakdown on the monthly rentals. Mr. Collier gave the following information on monthly rentals: No. of Hanaars 5 1 13 6 1 ( FAA) 1 (Aero Dust & Spray) Paris Flight Center Metro Airline Office Cost per hangar 30.00 50.00 45.00 75.00 20.00 300.00 20.00 253.00 When asked if anyone was behind in their rents, Mr. Collier told the Board a few people were behind as much as two months in their rents. If the rents become overdue Mr. Collier writes a letter to the renter asking for payment. The Board did not receive any concrete information on the procedure currently used to secure overdue hangar rentals. Review Recommendations to City Council - It was noted by the Board that they have received copies of the Paris City Council minutes for the April 11th meeting. These minutes deal with portable hangars and discussion of site planning for portable hangars. Discussion of tie -down fees were also mentioned in the City minutes. It was also noted that the matter of tie -down fees which was considered at the April 11th City Council meeting was referred to the staff for further study and therefore, no further discussion on tie - down fees need to considered by the Airport Board unless requested to do so by the City Council.
