MINUTES <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 1983 <br />CITY HALL - COUNCIL ROOM <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />The Airport Advisory Board met in session at City Hall Tuesday, February 22, <br />1983 at 7:15 p.m. with the following members present: <br />1. Richard Rex - Chairman <br />2. William Boothe <br />3. Gene Sudduth <br />4. Dr. Edward Keller <br />5. Kristina Campbell - Secretary <br />Also present were Jim Collier, Airport Manager, Peter DoDosh, Ray Berry, <br />Bob Collier, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas R. Kerr, Brian W. Palmer, Kathy J. Henry, <br />Joe Burress, Austin D. Ellis, Ed Giddings, Melissa Mahan, Mack Ross, Peggy <br />Ross and Roger Boxwell. <br />The minutes for January 25, 1983 were approved as mailed. <br />Mr. Ray Berry and Mr. Peter DoDosh of Port a Port, an airplane hangar <br />company of 2711 Arnold Avenue, Salina, Kansas 67401 made a presentation to <br />the board about their portable airplane hangars. Mr. DoDosh noted that their <br />hangars can be seen at Hull Field, Sugarland Texas, Addison Field, Addison, <br />Texas and Enid, Oklahoma. Mr. Duard Spleth, Airport Manager at the Enid <br />Airport was given as a reference. <br />Old Business: <br />1. Report on UNICOM AND VASI frequencies: Mr. Collier is monitoring 122.8 <br />and 123.0. He is directing those using 122.8 to the new frequency. The VASI <br />is still controlled by 122.8 and is awaiting the change of crystals. Mr. <br />Collier stated he has spoken to the FAA several times concerning the matter. <br />2. Permit status: Mr. Collier reported to the board City Council approval <br />of permits for James Howell, Bruce Session and Metro Airlines. Jimmy Wrenn <br />was approved to operate as an A & P Mechanic at Cox Field but was denied his <br />pilot training, agricultural spray and plane rental permits. <br />Mr. Collier notified Mr. Wrenn in person of the morning following the City <br />Council meeting. <br />3. Budget: Mr. Collier gave each board member a copy of the January 31, <br />1983 Budget Report for Cox Field. Mr. Sudduth and Mr. Rex indicated that the <br />board needs a copy of the Cox Field monthly income to compare with the <br />monthly expenditures in order to begin a study of the Cox Field financial <br />situation. Mr. Rex asked Mr. Collier to mail all needed financial statements <br />to the Airport Board members along with the monthly minutes. This will enable <br />the members to study each report prior to the meeting. <br />A discussion of the budget report for January 31, 1983 was postponed until <br />the next meeting. <br />
