MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />Monday, October 20, 2003 <br />4:00 P.M. <br />1. Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to <br />order at 4:OOP.M. <br />2. Roll was called. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Chad Brown Mary Crumpler <br />Patrick Brown Harrell Tippitt <br />Lucius Joe, Jr. <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Tommy Robinson Mark Rothfuss <br />Brad Archer Billy Hill <br />Ward Hall Pike Burkhart <br />3. Approval of Minutes of September 15, 2003: <br />A motion was made by Pike Burkhart to approve the meeting minutes, and Chad <br />Brown seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously. <br />4. Public hearing to consider presentations by Code Inspector of the City of <br />Paris, and owner(s) and / or lien holders of the below listed properties which <br />have been given notice of a violation of City Ordinance that structures need <br />to be demolished because of fire damage: <br />A. 1702 W. Houston St. <br />Harrell Tippitt made a motion that the building be repaired within 30 days <br />with a $1000 per day civil penalty if the building was not repaired within <br />the 30 days. The motion was seconded by Lucius Joe, Jr.. The motion <br />carried unanimously <br />B. 713 South Main <br />Patrick Brown made a motion that the building be repaired within 30 days <br />with a $1000 per day civil penalty if the building was not repaired within <br />the 30 days. The motion was seconded by Chad Brown. The motion <br />carried unanimously <br />
