MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />Monday, September 19, 2005 <br />4:00 P.M. <br />1. Chad Brown called the Building and Standards Commission Meeting to <br />order at 4:00 P.M. <br />Roll was called. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Chad Brown Lucius Joe, Jr. <br />Harrell Tippitt Brad Archer <br />Ryan Lassiter Mary Crumpler <br />Greg Wilson Steve Brown <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Pike Burkhart <br />2. Approval of Minutes of previous meeting: <br />A motion was made by Greg Wilson to approve the meeting minutes, and <br />Ryan Lassiter seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously <br />3. Public hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors <br />and owner(s) and /or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been <br />given notice of a violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, entitled A Substandard and <br />Dangerous Buildings and Structures: <br />A. 1629 Pine Bluff Street, Lot 10, City Block 70 -B <br />Tri -State has started the demolition of this structure. Ryan Lassiter made a <br />motion that the building be demolished within 30 days with a $1000 per <br />day civil penalty and, if the building is not demolished within the 30 day <br />time period, the City will demolish the building. Greg Wilson seconded <br />the motion. The motion carried unanimously. <br />B. 139016th Street NE, Lot 15, Block 2, Lane Place Addition <br />Chad Brown made a motion that the property be cleanup up within 30 <br />days with a $1000 per day civil penalty and, if the property is not cleaned <br />up within the 30 day time period, the City will clean up the property.
