B. 5010 Lamar Avenue; Tract 10,1 Moore Survey <br />Bob Skidmore stated that he did not know the structure was in the city limits. He <br />will tear the house down. Motion was made by Chad Brown, seconded by Ryan <br />Lassiter for the property to be demolished within 30 days with a $1,000 per day civil <br />penalty, and if the property is not demolished within the 30 day time period, the City <br />will demolish. Motion carried unanimously. <br />C. 25 31' Street SE; Lot 1, City Block 285 <br />Motion was made to recuse Zach Saffle by Chad Brown, seconded by Mary <br />Crumpler. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Chris Brown made a motion, seconded by Harrell Tippitt that the structure be <br />repaired (broken windows replaced) within 30 days with a $1,000 per day civil <br />penalty, and if the property is not repaired within the 30 day time period, the City will <br />make the repairs. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Motion was made for Zach Saffle to return to the meeting by Chris Brown, seconded <br />by Ryan Lassiter. Motion carried unanimously. <br />D. 1274 15' Street SE; Lots 3 & 4, Block 8, Gibbons - Braden Addition <br />Motion was made by Steve Brown, seconded by Chad Brown for the property to be <br />demolished within 30 days with a $1,000 per day civil penalty, and if the property is <br />not demolished within the 30 daytime period, the City will demolish. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />E. 57815 Ih Street SE; Lots 7 & 8 -A, City Block 112 -C <br />The owners want to tear the structure down but finances are holding them up. They <br />are willing to start on it. The garage is the only part of the structure needing to be <br />torn down since a tree fell through it. The tree was removed but the garage is still <br />falling in. Motion was made to by Chad Brown, seconded by Harrell Tippitt for the <br />property (garage only) to be demolished within 30 days with a $1,000 per day civil <br />penalty, and if the property is not demolished within the 30 day time period, the City <br />will demolish. Motion carried unanimously. <br />4. Status report related to properties on which the Commission has previously issued <br />orders. Lisa Wright presented the report to the Commission. She advised the Commission <br />that over sixty -five houses have been either demolished by the City or delivered to the <br />contractor for demolition by the City. She also advised that numerous structures have been <br />voluntarily demolished. <br />Lisa Wright advised the Commission that Pike Burkhart is no longer a member of the <br />Building and Standards Commission, therefore, his position is vacant. Also, Greg Wilson <br />has submitted his resignation. She requested that Board members contact her if they wish <br />to recommend someone. She also requested that any alternate wanting to move into a regular <br />slot contact her to make that wish known. <br />
