MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />BUILDING AND STANDARDS COMMISSION <br />MONDAY, FEBRUARY 20, 2012 <br />4:00 P.M. <br />Don Wilson called the Building and Standards Commission Nfeeting, to order at 4:00 <br />P.M�. <br />A. The following, members were present: <br />Ryan Lassiter <br />Zack Saffle <br />Johnny Norris <br />Wendell Moore <br />Don Wilson <br />Lee Ann Barbee (arrived at 4:43 P.M.) <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Vicki Ballard <br />C. Staff present: <br />Robert Talley <br />Nicki Brown <br />Audra Lane <br />Jeanna Scott <br />Shawn Napier <br />John Lestock <br />2. Public Hearing to consider presentations by City of Paris Code Inspectors and <br />owner(s) and/or lien holder(s) of the below properties who have been given notice of <br />a violation of Article III of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, <br />Paris, Texas, entitled "Substandard and Dangerous Buildings and Structures": <br />A. 347 Bonham Street; Lot 3,, City Block 120 <br />Owner: Tommy Adams, 81 CR 34520 Sumner, TX 75486 <br />Mr. Adams was in attendance. <br />Mr. Talley stated that the roof was missing and front fad ade was deteriorated. Mr. <br />Adams stated lie does not have liability insurance on the property and that it was a <br />bad investment on his part. The building was in bad shape when he bought it. One <br />half of the roof was caved in prior to purchase. Mr. Adams had a brick layer took <br />at the property to deten-nine the bricks are sound, Replacing the roof is not <br />economically feasible for Mr. Adams. Mr. Adams will get with Jeanna Scott at <br />the City Hall Annex about the Historical Preservation Commission, <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: 90 days to repair roof and loose bricks, <br />
