8/30/2012- Structure was presented to the BSC. Orders were placed <br />stating the structure be demolished within 90 days or the City <br />has the right to do so, and a $1000 per day civil penalty was <br />assessed. <br />9/7/12- BSC order mailed CMRRR to Mr. Kammer. <br />10/12/12- Mr. Kammer filed an appeal of BSC order and associated <br />additional claims in the 62nd District Court. <br />1/9/13- City filed its plea to the jurisdiction and motion for summary <br />judgment to dismiss Mr. Kammer's appeal and claims. <br />4/1/14- Hearing on City's plea to the jurisdiction; shortly thereafter, <br />visiting judge sent a letter to the parties stating that the Court <br />would be dismissing Mr. Kammer's appeal and other claims. <br />4/30/14- Mr. Kammer filed his motion to reconsider the Court's ruling. <br />5/16/14- Order granting the plea to the jurisdiction and denying the <br />motion to reconsideration signed by Court. <br />5/30/14- Mr. Kammer filed motion for new trial <br />7/28/14- Hearing on motion for new trial. Court signed order denying <br />motion for new trial. <br />10/21/16- City staff met with Mr. Kammer about the possibility of <br />reducing or waiving penalties to encourage a sale and <br />rehabilitation of the building. <br />11/09/16- Staff again met with Mr. Kammer, and Ms. Lancaster, and <br />agreed to recommend to the city council to reduce or waive all <br />penalties should Mr. Kammer secure a buyer. <br />
