<br />A W, Clem, representing the Moore Law Firm spoke on behalf'qf Coca C olaSouthivest Beverages, LLC,
<br />fir the deniolilionjbr the structure located on the back side of the property. Mr, Clem confirmed the
<br />commission had received theneiv COA submittals by Coca Cola with the updated attachments. He began by
<br />eylaining the current condition of structure. Ife noted that the plant wasfiormei-4, used to bottle Coca-
<br />Cola, but noiv this area is distrihution center and utilized
<br />fi)), loading and servicing trucks. He explained this
<br />particular structure has become an unsafe, and this concerns the company, Ile further explained nothing has
<br />been done with the structurejbryears- due to deteriorating conditions. He brought attention to the PowerPoint
<br />shoiving the interior changesfi-oin hospital use to maintenance use, noting lot of interior remodeling took
<br />place at some point, leaving nothing of historical value relating to the children's hospital. Now ,for safety sake,
<br />the compatty wants the structure rernoved. lie further explained that Coca-Cola is sensitive to the fact that the
<br />entire properti; has historical significance; however, there is nothing at all on the Bonham Street (main road)
<br />that is even reminiscent ofthe fact that there was even a hospital on the site.

<br />y Green, Coca-Cola senior leadership representative addressed thecommissioners. She explained that
<br />Coca-Cola has been a part of thefiabric elf Paris err over 112 years as a bottling partner in the communitY and
<br />Coca-Cola strives to embrace and be supportive part qf"the coin m un itY. The hospitalmrueture has been the
<br />topic cif matey discussionsfi-omthe senior leadership at Coca-Cola. She related that they are sympathetic to the
<br />structure and it sentimental value to the community, In an (f
<br />f6rt to besensitive to history qf'Paris, they, had an
<br />idea to put a memorial to the whole hospital in front qfthe current Cocu-Cola.facility, which itself is a historic
<br />structure. She explained however, the current structure had served no purpose for manY years, it is in a state of'
<br />disrepair, has numerous leaks and the company hasn't been able utilized the building in over 25 years, With the
<br />building removed, the company could leverage rhe space more appropriately,lor the business.
<br />A. W. Clem stated that in talking with the contractor, who has looked at the building in eivy aspect it was
<br />his, observation that the only historicsignVicance was the brick. Coca-Cola ;vould be interested in salvaging
