Motion to approve the minutes of the
June 30, 2003, meeting was made by Barbara Wilson, seconded by Ann
Rogers. Both motions carried unanimously.
3. Discussion and input on a proposal from the Lamar County Chamber of
Commerce to install glass sound barrier partitions above the offices on the
firstfloorof the Depot. Arvin Starrettstated thatthis will not be a usual action
for the Commission involving changes to the interiors of properties. However,
since this property is owned by the municipality, the City will be asking for an
approval on certain items, perhaps interior, on properties belonging to the
City. Gary Vest proposed that one -half inch of safety glass be put in above
the walls. The glass will be framed in wood and painted the same color as
the existing walls. It was recommended by Ron with Preservation Texas that
this type of partitioning be added. Motion was made to approve by Sue
Lancaster, seconded by Barbara Wilson. Motion carried unanimously.
