Item Seven: Chairman Arvin Starrett advised the Commission on the recent City Council approval of <br />Architexas as the approved professional provider. No action was taken on this item. <br />I <br />Item Eight: Commission members discussed the subject of window blanker panels to be used for the <br />temporary moth - balling of historic buildings. It was noted that the Commission must develop <br />construction standards and usage policies for these window blanker panels in the near future. It was <br />agreed that a usage policy should address some of the following items: <br />1. Building occupancy <br />2. Visual appearance as related to major and minor streets <br />3. Front, side and back facades and their relationship to the streets <br />4. Time limitations <br />5. Frequency of use by business or property owner <br />6. Preservation of existing windows and window frarnes <br />It was agreed that this item would be placed on the agenda for the September 22 Comm ission meeting. <br />Item Nine: Commission members discussed possible public relations and education programs. Paul <br />Denney reemphasized the desire to have Mr. Tom Clark of Leeds -Clark Restoration of Midlothian, Texas <br />come to Paris and present his day -long seminar on downtown building restoration. Barbara Wilson <br />volunteered to approach the Paris Main Street officials about the possibility of funding Mr. Clark's visit. <br />i Item Ten: Commission members discussed the possibility of establishing the Church Street /South Main <br />Street historical district as the next adopted district. It was the general concensus of the Commission that <br />this effort should proceed. It was tentatively agreed that a neighborhood informational party meeting <br />should be planned, possibly on the 16th or 18th of September.: <br />Item Eleven: A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Becki Norment.
