MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CITY OF PARIS HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />PARIS JUNIOR COLLEGE <br />BOBBY R. WALTERS APPLIED TECHNOLOGY BUILDING, ROOM 1206 <br />WEST ENTRANCE <br />2400 CLARKSVILLE STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />MONDAY, APRIL 26, 2004 <br />4:00 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Historic Preservation Commission Meeting was called to order by <br />Chairman Arvin Starrett at 4:00 P.M. <br />A. The following members were present: <br />Jerry Raper <br />Barbara Wilson <br />Sue Lancaster <br />Paul Denney, Acting Secretary <br />Claudia Hunt <br />Alternates: Becki Norment <br />Brian Wear <br />B. The following members were absent: <br />Ann Rodgers <br />C. Also present were Lisa Wright, Historic Preservation Officer, Lindsey <br />Harper, Main Street Coordinator, John Brunson, Street Superintendent, <br />and Edwayne Samis, Street Department employee. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meetings. Minutes of the March 1, 2004, <br />meeting were presented. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Paul <br />Denney, seconded by Barbara Wilson. Motion carried unanimously. <br />3. Discussion of and possible action on approving the following Certificates of <br />Appropriateness: <br />A. Michaella Bumgarner and Brenda Smyers -101 Grand Avenue. Motion <br />to approve the COA as presented was made by Paul Denney, seconded <br />by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried unanimously. <br />B. Lamar County Chamber of Commerce - 1125 Bonham Street. Motion <br />to approve, with the condition that the lettering matches the existing <br />lettering on the Depot building was made by Barbara Wilson, seconded <br />by Brian Wear. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
