Public hearing to receive citizen comments regarding declaring the following <br />properties as a historic landmarks: <br />A. 714 Graham Street (Baldwin House) - Motion to declare the property a <br />landmark was made by Sue Lancaster, seconded by Barbara Wilson. <br />Motion carried 7 -0. <br />B. 623 6th Street S. E. (Gibbons House) - Motion to declare the property a <br />landmark was made by Paul Denney, seconded by Claudia Hunt. <br />Motion carried 7 -0. <br />C. 1970 Clarksville Street (Early House) - Linda Hood, the owner of the <br />property, was present and stated she did not have the money to make <br />repairs to the property and was hoping to sell it. Chairman Starrett <br />advised her that the Commission had just voted to place the property <br />on the 13 Most Endangered List and hopefully this would make grants <br />available to help her. Motion to declare the property a landmark was <br />made by Barbara Wilson, seconded by Sue Lancaster. Motion carried <br />7 -0. <br />D. 410 W. Kaufman Street (First Presbyterian Church) - Ben Fowzer, a <br />member and treasurer of the church, was present and stated that the <br />property has already been designated by the state, and he would like <br />to see the church included on the local list. Motion to declare the <br />property a landmark was made by Claudia Hunt, seconded by Brian <br />Wear. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />E. 357 W. Kaufman Street (Church of Christ Scientist) - Motion to declare <br />the property a landmark was made by Barbara Wilson, seconded by <br />Paul Denney. Motion carried 7 -0. <br />5. Discussion of and possible action on the proposed historic landmarks and <br />recommending such designations to the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />Action was taken as listed above. Motion to forward the properties to the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission was made by Claudia Hunt, seconded by <br />
