STATUS OF ISSUE: Each year we need to update and readopt our draft three-year plan to
account for any changes in priorities, needs, costs, or other matters. The attachment shows all 24
planned streets, grouped into seven discreet projects, plus a group that is as yet unfunded,
Project I is Church Street, and Project 2 is the group of segments currently under construction.
We propose doing Projects 3 and 4 beginning this calendar year (five street segments totaling
about $4 million), Collegiate, 33'-'J SE, and Graham will likely be designed in-house and bid as a
single project this spring. As mentioned previously, we are negotiating with KSA to provide
design engineering for 17'h and 24th, which will begin in late summer .and will be built somewhat
consecutively so that both streets are not closed at the same time. As we did on 3"', we will do
in-house utility work on Graharn so that it will be ready for repaving in 2018. We will plan to
bid Projects 5-7 in 201 , and as many of the currently unfunded projects as possible in 2020.
BUDGET. Funds are available from 2017 bond proceeds,
RECOMMENDATION: Approve attached plan of work, specifically as it relates to Projects 1,
3, and 4.
