Regular Council Meeting February 26, 2018 Page 5 reviewed economic impacts of military bases, background information, the study areas, the policy committee, strategy highlights, recommendations ations and implementation resources. A Motion to approve the Resolution was made by Mayor Clifford, and seconded by Council Member Knox. Motion carried. 4 avec — 0 nays. 18. Discuss and act on the 2018 Plan of Work for Street Bond Reconstruction, City Manager John Godwin reviewed with City Council the completed projects, the near completed projects and the proposed 2018 project list. He said he was, asking them to approve the second group of projects and they could add to or subtract form the list which contained six streets. Mr. Godwin said Church Street was a two year project and they conducted a public neighborhood meeting last week, because Church Street was close to; beginning construction, He reviewed the other five streets explaining the details of each project. Mr. Godwin said Stillhouse had been added, because it had worsened. He also said at the request of Council Mernber Drake, the remainder of Collegiate Street was added to the list. He referenced the streets in yellow on the i -nap, citing they were unftinded. Mr. Godwin said staff was hoping that two or three or half of those streets would get funded, but that would depend on the budget. Council Member Knox said she could not be at the Church Street neighborhood meeting, but that she heard it was excellent. Council Member Knox said in Council Member Drake's absence, she had asked that they pull minutes frorn when Mr. Don Wilson spoke about specific streets he would like added. She said one of those streets was North Collegiate, which looked like it was on this list. She said she thought the other one was 31s` Street. Mr. Godwin said 31" Street was a very bad street and was not added to the initial list because it was not a collector street. He said it could be added and he would be happy to do that, A Motion to approve the 2018 Plan of Work for Street Bond Reconstruction was made by Council Member Portugal, and seconded by Mayor Clifford, Motion cam.ed, 4 ayes — 0 nays. 19, Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to Resolution No. 2004-081. No future events were referenced, 20. Adjournment, There being no further business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Mayor Clifford and was seconded by Council Member Portugal.
