City Clerk Janice Ellis said the candidate in District I was unopposed and the deadline to <br />file had passed, Ms. Ellis asked Council to declare the unopposed candidate in District I elected <br />to office, Mayor Clifford,confinned that this would also cancel the election in District 1. <br />A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Drake and seconded by <br />Mayor Clifford, Motion carried, 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />16� Discuss and appoint one member to the Main Street Advisory Board to fill an unexpired <br />term. <br />Mayor Clifford said the City had received three applications and they were Jay Kevin <br />Ashmore, Jenny Wilson, and Lauren Corbell. <br />A Motion to appoint Kevin Ashmore to the board was made by Council Member Portugal <br />and seconded by Council Member Drake. Motion carried, 5 ayes — 0 nays. <br />IT Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 2004-081. <br />Mr. Godwin reminded everyone of the Oak Park grand opening scheduled for Friday, <br />March 23'd at 12:15 p.m. <br />I & Adjournment. <br />There being no fttrther business, a Motion to adjourn was made by Mayor Clifford and <br />was seconded by Council Member Drake.
