Ruthart explained that he was an individual CPA and HUD gives them the guidelines of <br />what to focus on. Ms. Cherry asked for the Auditor's name and phone number. <br />d. There was a fire at 501 Booker, T Washington Homes, PHA has reccived 2 bids for <br />repairs to that unit. The tenant was not hurt. Ms. Cherry and Mr. Savage suggested that <br />bids be itemized with costs on each item. <br />e,, Commissioner Training - Ms. Ruthart gave the Commissioners information on training <br />options, There is a free online training from HUD called Lead the Way and THA offers <br />onsite training, Mr. Savage said he would prefer online training especially if it is free and <br />meets the needs. <br />f. Maintenance Truck Accident - car being worked on carne rolling down the: owner's <br />driveway and ran into our Maintenance Truck. The owner of the car has no insurance. <br />g. PHA received a Kudos letter about the work that Ms. Pridemore has, done on housing <br />Houston displaced victims due to the hurricane. The PHA has currently housed 5 victims. <br />h. Longevity Bonuses for PHA employees including Executive Director - Motion made <br />by Ms. Nickerson and seconded by Mr. Haynes, Passed 4-1 Ms. Cherry voted against it. <br />Discussion from Ms. Cherry regarding why did the PHA need to use the housing <br />authority vehicles at Paris Retirement Village and did the PHA pay for the hotel charges. <br />Ms. Ruthart responded by saying yes and the charges were taken from the Paris <br />Retirement Village's HAP payment and that the PHA does have records to reflect that. <br />7. RESOLUTIONS: NONE <br />8. No further business or questions, a motion for adjournment was made by Ms. <br />Nickerson and seconded by Mr. Savage. Motion passed 5-0.
