<br />The Basic Plan and its annexes shall be reviewed annually by local officials. The <br />Mayor will establish a schedule for annual review of planning documents by those <br />tasked in them. <br /> <br />D. Update <br /> <br />1. This plan will be updated based upon deficiencies identified during actual <br />emergency situations and exercises and when changes in threat hazards, <br />resources and capabilities, or government structure occur. <br />2. The Basic Plan and its annexes must be revised or updated by a formal change <br />at least every five years. Responsibility for revising or updating the Basic Plan <br />is assigned to the EMC. Responsibility for revising or updating the annexes to <br />this plan is outlined in Section VI.B, Assignment of Responsibilities, as well as in <br />each annex. For details on the methods of updating planning documents as well <br />as more information on when changes should be made, refer to Chapter 3 of the <br />Division of Emergency Management (OEM) Local Emergency Management <br />Planning Guide (OEM-10). <br /> <br />3. Revised or updated planning documents will be provided to all departments, <br />agencies, and individuals tasked in those documents. <br /> <br />4. S418.043(4) of the Government Code provide that OEM shall review local <br />emergency management plans. The process for submitting new or updated <br />planning documents to OEM is described in Chapter 6 of the OEM-10.
