carried 5-0.
Motion was made by Rick Hundley, seconded by Ai-
Juniand Hashmi to bring James
O'Bryan back into the rneeting.
4, Public hearing, to consider and take action regarding the petition of Abe Enns, fir a
change in zoningfi-om an Agricultural District (A) to a Commercial District (C) with a
Spee fic Use Permit (SUP)Jbi, trailer sales, in the City of Paris, Block 34.1, Lot 2, Loop 286
& Hwy 24, Acres 2, 0, being located at 2975 S Church 517-eet.
.John Godwin, City Manager reviewed the existing land use, existing zoning, proposed land
use and proposed zoning with the commissioners. Mr. Godwin states the request is
consistent with what is currently in that area. It will add another business to the inventory
of commerce in Paris; Further if the trailer business does not progress over time and the
trailer Sales no longer exists, then the SUP (unless another trailer sales replaces it) would
not be active, and the subject property would revert to any allowed Commercial use, just as
is the Current Commercial zoning to the north, City Staff recommends approval of this
zoning request from the Agricultural District to a Commercial District (C) with a Specific
Use Permit (SUP) for the rental and sale of trailers at 2975 S Church Street.
Public hearing was declared open.
One individual spoke in favor of the petition and no one spoke in opposition of the petition.
Abe Inns, 2975 S Church Street spoke in favor of the petition. Mr. Inns stated this
property is where Krogrnan Sand and Gravel was previously located, next to a gas station
and wrecker service. He said he can answer questions anyone may have.
Public hearing was declared closed.
Motion was made by Arjumand Hashini, seconded by Keith Flowers to approve the
petition with noted conditions. Motion carried 6-0.
5.
