Motion was made by Mike Folmar, seconded by Sally McE win to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />D. 541 6"' NE (603); City Block 61, Lot 31 <br />Owner: Ruth Bills, 824 3"" NE, Paris TX 75460 <br />Robert Talley stated more than I structure on a single lot, hence the double <br />addresses. One structure on this property (541), has already been dernoed. Tree <br />next to structure split and fell onto structure. No contact with property owner. <br />Side buckling away from roof Roof caved in from tree. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within all days, <br />or the city has a right to do so. <br />Commission questions. <br />Q — Not occupied'?' <br />A—No. <br />Q Will Sanitation Solutions also remove tree? <br />A Debris yes, but not sturnp, <br />Q- Electric or gyas active", <br />A — Still connected, but no electrical service. Don't know about gas. <br />Motion was made by Johnny Norris, seconded by Ken Kohls to accept <br />Robert Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />4. Code Enforcement update. <br />Properties on W. Sherman, owned by Mr. Manuel Darnell, have been cleaned up. <br />Q — Does, money city receives for the metal go to offset the arnount of the bill to the <br />owner? <br />A Yes. <br />Q Status of concrete culverts? <br />A — Not under control of Code Enforcement. <br />Q — Property with old tanks, and old car wash on S Church St? <br />A — Nothing on those properties are in violation of city ordinance. <br />Q --- When a property is demoed, why are the steps or slab not removed? <br />A - Slabs and concrete steps are not in violation. Also, the weight of the concrete adds <br />tremendously to the demo cost. <br />Q — Bonham St building with roof fallen in? <br />A — Building is secure; was told everything on East side, want to leave as a covered area <br />for outdoor events. Center where roof collapsed, use as atrium area, This was <br />expressed by owners. Will monitor for stability. Has been addressed byHPC. <br />Stephanie Ham's -- We need to be a little more structured to stay on point with these <br />itenis, and add items to future agendas, but need to scale back discussion of those itenns. <br />
