Betty Sawyer, 2550 E Cherry Street, spoke in opposition of the petition. Ms. Sawyer states <br />she spends a lot of time in this area and does not want a veterinarian clinic close by. Ms. <br />Sawyer asked if dead animals were placed in dunipsters like other practices do. <br />Dr. O'Bryan states they have never put animals in a dumpster nor will they ever do that. All <br />of their animals are taken for cremation at a facility in Carrollton. Dr. )'Bryan states the <br />liability concern WOUld be on the practitioner and they take every precaution to minimize <br />any liability. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by John Lee, seconded by ;had Lindsey to approve the petition with <br />noted conditions for applicant to provide a vegetative buffer screen between the subject <br />property and apartment complex at 1005 Lamar Avenue, following noise restrictions as <br />well as meet all commitments as discussed in Dr. O'Bryan's presentation at the April 2„ d <br />meeting.
