Parn Anglin, Director of Paris Junior College to discuss what type of collaboration could <br />exist between the Junior college and the flight school. Mr. Paris states his leads with the <br />National Business Aviation Association has fizzled out and it's time to get back to talk to <br />them. He believes that Cox field could be a nice landing space for international travel and <br />for fuel but we need to look at sonie other airports and look at the possibility on how we <br />compete and what our ideas are. <br />5. Discussion regarding the new hangar conwruclionpi*oject. <br />John Godwin, City Manager informed the board that not niuch has changed, There has <br />been a punch list that the contractors are chipping away at. It has been a poor project as <br />far as timeliness and quality. TXDo,r is displeased with the contractor but they are still <br />managing the project it's just incredibly slow. They will get it done. Mr. Godwin states <br />fie spoke with a prospect interested in building a hangar at Cox Field that would be a <br />privately owner hanger and possibly sublet it. <br />Partner of Quality Care Emergency Room states when lie was looking to lease a hangar <br />at Cox Field there were several hangars and it just seemed difficult to lease or buy. it <br />seemed it would be beneficial to the City to have hangar availability for people that live <br />outside of Paris or have to come back and forth to do business here. He has discussed <br />with some of his investors the possibility of building several hangars. Ile is currently <br />number twenty-eight on a waiting list so there is a need, <br />6. Disciission regarcling, the 2018 Paris b7y,-In, <br />John Godwin, City Manager states the last meeting is coming up the first week of May. <br />The event is on for May 12, 2018. Advertising has begun. Mr. Godwin re-empliasized <br />this is a Fly -In on a smaller scale but still expect a good crowd. There will be food <br />vendors, static displays and remote control airplanes. <br />7.
