<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 9th day of
<br />December, 1996, in Resolution No. 96-144, declare surplus and authorize the sale of part of Lot
<br />5, Block 8, Springlake Addition, being number 217 28th Street N.E.; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, bids for said property were received until 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September
<br />2, 1997, and the highest bid by a responsible bidder was from Larry D. Dority and wife, Denise
<br />J. Dority, in the amount of $10,503.00; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the general warranty deed to Larry D. Dority and wife, Denise
<br />J. Dority, for the conveyance of said part of Lot 5, Block 8, Springlake Addition, attached hereto
<br />as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S.
<br />Clifford, should be authorized to execute the same upon the date of closing, which shall occur no
<br />sooner than thirty (30) days from the date of passage of this resolution in accordance with Section
<br />145 of the Charter of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the bid
<br />of Larry D. Dority and wife, Denise J. Dority, in the amount of $10,503.00, for part of Lot 5,
<br />Block 8, Springlake Addition, being number 217 28th Street N.E., be, and the same is hereby,
<br />accepted and let; and,
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be,
<br />and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, a general
<br />warranty deed to Larry D. Dority and wife, Denise J. Dority, under the terms and conditions and
<br />in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto, upon the date of closing, which shall occur no
<br />sooner than thirty (30) days from the date of passage of this resolution in accordance with Section
<br />145 of the Charter of the City of Paris.
