<br />RESOLUTION NO. 97-116
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 14th day of
<br />October, 1996, in Resolution No. 96-114, declare surplus and authorize the sale of Lot 5-A, City
<br />Block 130, being located in the 1200 block of W. Sherman Street; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, bids for said property were received until 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, September
<br />2, 1997, and the highest bid by a responsible bidder was from Jerald N. Ensor and wife, Sherry
<br />Ensor, in the amount of $1,760.00; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the general warranty deed to Jerald N. Ensor and wife, Sherry
<br />Ensor, for the conveyance of said Lot 5-A, City Block 130, attached hereto as Exhibit A, should,
<br />in all things, be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, should be
<br />authorized to execute the same upon the date of closing, which shall occur no sooner than thirty
<br />(30) days from the date of passage of this resolution in accordance with Section 145 of the Charter
<br />of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,

<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the bid
<br />ofJerald N. Ensor and wife, Sherry Ensor, in the amount of $1,760.00, for Lot 5-A, City Block
<br />130, being located in the 1200 Block of W. Sherman Street, be, and the same is hereby, accepted
<br />and let; and,
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be,
<br />and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City of Paris, a general
<br />warranty deed to Jerald N. Ensor and wife, Sherry Ensor, under the terms and conditions and in
<br />the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto, upon the date of closing, which shall occur no
<br />sooner than thirty (30) days from the date of passage of this resolution in accordance with Section
<br />145 of the Charter of the City of Paris.
