<br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICE CONTRACT <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR <br /> <br />} <br />} <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />This contract, entered into this 10th day of June, 1996, by and between the City <br /> <br /> <br />of Paris, a municipal corporation of Lamar County, Texas, hereinafter referred to as <br /> <br /> <br />CITY, and Thomas E. Hunt, III, an attorney licensed to practice law by the State Bar of <br /> <br /> <br />Texas, a citizen of the City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, hereinafter called HUNT, <br /> <br />wherein the parties contract and agree as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1. That HUNT agrees to serve as Delinquent Tax Collection Attorney from <br /> <br /> <br />July 1, 1996, through June 30, 1998, performing those duties in accordance with the Texas <br /> <br /> <br />Property Tax Code. <br /> <br /> <br />2. That CITY agrees to pay HUNT for his services as Delinquent Tax <br /> <br /> <br />Collection Attorney, fifteen percent (15 %) of additional penalty assessed against ad <br /> <br /> <br />valorem taxes payable to CITY and delinquent on July 1, 1994, and each year thereafter, <br /> <br /> <br />and all other attorney fees permitted to be charged by the Texas Property Tax Code upon <br /> <br />which tax suits have been filed. <br /> <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused the contract to be <br /> <br /> <br />executed this 10th day of June, 1996. <br /> <br />Eric S.
