There being none, a Motion to approve the consent <br />agenda was made by Council Member Knox and seconded by Council Members Stone and <br />Trenado. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. <br />5. Approve minutes from the meeting on July 23, 2018. <br />6. Receive reports and/or minutes from the following boards and commissions: <br />a. Paris Economic Development Corporation (6-29-2018) <br />b. Airport Advisory Board (6-21-2018) <br />c. Love Civic Center (5-10-2018) <br />d. Building & Standards Commission (5-21-2018) <br />e. Planning & Zoning Commission (7-7-2018) <br />f. Board of Adjustment (5-1-2018 & 6-22-2018) <br />g. Traffic Commission (6-5-2018) <br />7. Approve the low bids received for water and wastewater treatment chemicals to be used <br />in FY 2018-19. <br />8. Receive the 2018 tax appraisal roll from the Lamar County Appraisal District. <br />Regular Agenda <br />9. Conduct a public hearing on the submission of a Texas Community Development Block <br />Grant application to the Texas Department of Agriculture for reconstruction of railroad <br />infrastructure. <br />PEDC Director Michael Paris explained as part of the grant application process, a public <br />hearing was required. Mr. Paris said the idea was to develop the rail for American Spiral Weld. <br />Mayor Pro -Tem Hughes opened the public hearing and asked for anyone wishing to <br />speak about this item, to please come forward. With no one speaking, Mayor Pro -Tem Hughes <br />closed the public hearing. <br />10. Discuss and act on Paris Economic Development Corporation's FY 2018-19 budget. <br />Mr. Paris said the PEDC Board approved the budget on August 7, 2018, and then <br />reviewed the budget in depth with City Council. <br />
