MINUTES OF THE REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />October 22, 2018 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />October 22, 2018, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufinan, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Steven Clifford <br />Council Members: Derrick Hughes, Renae Stone, Billy Trenado, <br />Clayton Pilgrim, and Paula Portugal <br />City Staff: John Godwin, City Manager; Stephanie Harris, City <br />Attorney; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Gene Anderson, <br />Finance Director; Bob Hundley, Police Chief; <br />Thomas McMonigle, Assistant Fire Chief; Doug <br />Harris, Utilities Director; Kent Klinkerman, EMS <br />Director; Jerry McDaniel, Public Works Director; <br />and Clyde Crews, Fire Marshal <br />Absent: Council Member: Linda Knox <br />O pe iing Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Clifford called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Invocation. <br />Reverend Slaughter gave the invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Mayor Clifford led the pledge. <br />4. Citizens' Forum. <br />Syble Colson, 819 Lamar Avenue — she referenced the Old St. Joseph Hospital and tax <br />abatement. Ms. Colson said she owned property in the area and the continued deterioration of <br />the building, along with criminal activity was of concern to her. <br />Breanna Williamson, 5796 FM 38 N, Brookston, Texas — she said she bid on the Lake <br />Gibbons pasture lease and was initially told she received the bid. Subsequently, she said she was <br />called and told she did not receive it, and that she did not understand this. Mayor Clifford said it <br />was on the agenda and they could discuss it when they got to the item. <br />
